Death to the Rats!!

Last weekend we went up to Winter Park and captured some magical moments with our pals Ben Lynch, Ryan Arrington and Jackson Fowler. Helping them get down on their video monologues, 'Death to the Rats', was a BLAST!! They are such a unique group of characters, especially on snowboards. They are great friends to have cruising up and around the slopes with. Every second with them is always a Radd time. Constant laughing and goofing around, combined with the most different wild style of riding you will ever see. To top it all off, Ben and Ryan are also awesome musicians and make their own music for every edit! Watching them play their music instruments is another must see, if you ever get the chance, consider yourself privileged! Well anyway, get your brain to some video watching and enjoy some more magic from the ColoRADo mountains of Winter Park, and our pals, the 'Death to the Rats' crew.

This Radd Junket takes a brief look into one of our urban city jib finds. Filming for our movie takes a lot of thought, exploring, and preparation. Finding a good spot to film some RADD snowboarding has to have a multitude of things working for it. First and foremost, a low or non-existent bust factor. Having to convince the 5-OH that you're just a buch of goofball lunatics trying to snowboard on some gnarly feature is never a fun task. Number two, being able have multiple features to hit at one place. This is always a super bonus, just in case one thing isn't working out. Number three, a need for SPEED! Bungee, drop-in ramp, shovels, and some good ol' H2O. Then, the creme de la creme, a great group of pals you can shred some wierd with. Oh yeah, some snow helps too! We here at aunti are lucky to have all of the above. Take a look into this Radd Junket and dig on one of the fun spots we found to air some tricks at. Wish we could show off more, but we have to save the rest of the footy because we promised our movie we would. Please feel free to enjoy this quick peek at one of our radd adventures!

Just recently we found out our friend Joe Carlino was in town filming with Andy Wright, Jed, and Jake. We met up with them, and showed them some cool stuff around the area for a couple days. This previous weekend I went with the Satellite skate dudes on a mountainous skate journey. Our first stop was Silvrethorne Skatepark. Our Second stop was at Edwards Skatepark. Our third stop was at our friend Eric Warble's mini ramp mountain home, there we camped over night. Then the next day, we went to Glenwood Springs to get some soakage in the sulfur springs. SATELLITES RIDE WITH US NEDERLAND!!

On July 3rd we headed up to Nederland Colorado with our skateboards, and cameras to meet up with our friends the Satellite skate team. We definitely caught some magical action sports maneuvers with the them and all their Friends. It was a great Day, and the camping at night made it a glorious memory we will never forget. Thanks, and congratulations to Satellite for holding 9 strong years, and having the best skate day camping party reunion ever. You guys have always had the best Snowboard shreds and skateboard radness for the people of Colorado. They are a strong shop that is never going to fail on getting you what you need, and then showing you how to rip it wild! Thank you to everyone who came to ride with us.

Hey all! Been a while since I filled you in on whats going on in government camp. I have been very busy everyday waking up at 8 snowboarding and filming until 3 and then editing and burning camper dvd's until midnight. It is currently session 2 and we are already almost finished with it. Here are some "Hi-Quality" pictures of my summer filming at High Cascade Snowboard Camp. Enjoy!

This previous Sunday, we went with Satellite Boardshop on this summer's second RIDE WITH US Colorado skate stop to Lafayette Skatepark. An incredible park with an awesome set of dudes to skate with. After the day of skating, Satellite and friend's went up to camp in Nederland. There we enjoyed lots of barbeque, Canoeing, Motor sports, and BB guns! Hood Update #1!

Hello!

Sunday 5-6-2011 I flew into Portland for my first day at work as a videographer at High Cascade Snowboard Camp. So far pre-camp has been a lot of fun, meeting tons of cool people, got to take a day of snowboarding and attending lots of meetings to learn about what the staff will be required to do this summer. Looking forward to working with all the other videographers, coaches, counselors and everyone else all summer and having good times. Here is a short photo update of my adventure so far.

RIDE WITH US 2011 Tour, Parker Skatepark!

This previous Sunday, we went with Satellite Boardshop on this summer's first RIDE WITH US Colorado skate stop to Parker Skatepark. I must say this park is a blast and a half! The sun was beating down upon us as we skated through the park for hours, properly giving us the idea to take a short trip to the creek nearby for a delightful cool-down. Yesterday myself and Jon Hill went to Parker Skate Park with the Satellite Boardshop skate team to film the first stop at the 2011 Ride With Us Colorado Park tour. We had lots of fun filming and skating with all the Satellite dudes. Mid-day Jon asked me to film this creative line he had and I took a break from the team to get Jon his shot. This weeks showcase of art comes from a great man by the name of Ian Boll. He is also one of the raddical snowboard shredderz we've had the pleasure of video filming this season. The artworks displayed below are silk-screened photographs, broken into individual layers of color, lined up and printed by hand. To fully apprecieate this art form one must understand that Ian shoots the photo, breaks it down in a graphics program, turns them into silk screens, and follows it all up with a very tedious printing process; consisting of messy inks, lots of screens, and varying results.

Way to go Ian! Awesome prints!

Skate for MS

Our friend Steve Pleines hosted a game of skate contest for multiple sclerosis at the University of Colorado. Many friends were in attendance and tricks were being landed left and right. The event had a very positive vibe that was enjoyable to all. Finals consisted of Robert Prehn and Patrick Tran, two local boulder skaters who have also been our friends for quite some time now. Rob took the 1st place prize with a perfect score against Pat, it was an intense game to say the least. Thanks to all the sponsors: Satellite Boardshop, Vans, Never Summer, Neuro Water, Beppo, Chegg.com, and the Colorado-Wyoming MS Chapter. Thanks to Steve, the Judges, and everyone else who helped set up and break down.

Brendan and our super rad Friends let the wild side hang out on a fine Closing day of April 23rd, 2011 at Breckenridge resort . Despite an abundance of snow everywhere on the mountain, the resort unfortunately had to close. It was cloudy, then sunny, then overcast, then low-light, then a blizzard, and ending finally with a little wind. Basically the weather was a bit unpredictable, but it didn't phase us, we all came to have a board party of a last ride together, closing out another amazing season at Breck. The day consisted of fun, hammers, and friends. The three main ingredients for a perfect day. So Here is The awesome new aunti short video, displaying all the radical, and craziness that took place on closing day. Thanks to everyone, you know who you are. Thanks to everyone who came .We had A blast at The Love games, and Yes The weather was Crazy, but so was the Riding. On the drive up we All encountered a mighty storm, and the pass was closed. Thank Goodness for The parking lot BBQ, with the whole Satellite gang!! It was a real life saver to kill some time, waiting for that darn road to open. It made the road opening so much radder to have a hot dog in one hand and a free PBR in the other, cheering heck yeah let's shred as the gate lifted. Finally, at 2pm we got up to the top and ripped the awesome trick busting features we had built the day before. "Glorious" was the word of the day we had in our minds, while we were getting fresh lines and instant Truck rides back to the top. It was well worth the wait for a Rad trick sesh on love pass.

Satellite Boardshop Presents: The Love Games!!

Everyone's invited,
So come have fun and enjoy some jibs and Powder Kicker Booters!!! Of course aunti is going to there, filming the whole event. So Why not spend all day with the SATELLITE GANG and Friends having fun in the sun.

A letter from the shop:
So the plan is to arrive at Loveland Pass by 8 am (all the jumps will be built the day before). Registration will start at 8am and go until around 10am. Depending on how structured we need to be we will move from station to station with only one or two tents as a chill zone.
The top of the pass will have the majority of tents all clustered together with the crew rotating out while doing laps (so nobody will have to sit with their tents all day).
The beer and BBQ will be at the top with these tents, so if you are helping with this please make it by 8am. We will be doing a facebook/blog/tumbler post to let riders know when and where to be.
Let your homies and friends know so they can come have a PBR AND RAGE!
The end of the day should be a drunk fest of glory days, stories and a bonfire if the conditions allow it.
Stoked to see you all there!
Schedule:
8am - Set up
9am - Tents and BBQ beer garden set up
10am - Registration ends
11-12 - SWe should be slipping the first zone
1-2 - On to the second zone
2-3 - Kicking it at the third zone
3-4 - Hitting the fourth zone or totally blazed from the boozing and weeding. Depending on how crusty your are feel free to chill, booze and tell stories of yester-year.

Last Night Jon, James and I drove up to Summit County to meet Daniel “Floyd” Ralph and shoot a article Me.Glad is having in the upcoming issue of Snowboard Colorado. Me.Glad is a Colorado company and makes “garments celebrating the happiest of human moods”. Jon took some rad photos that capture Floyd and his companies spirit. I filmed a little video during the photo shoot and made a quick edit of what I caught. The new hoody that folds up into a fanny pack is a really cool idea. Floyd talks about the concept and shows how it works. Good work Floyd on the new line and excited to see more stuff from you.
